■CNCF DevStatsについて
CNCFのDevStatsは、CNCF Project でのあらゆる貢献活動を GitHub から集計し、数値化しているツールです。このデータを活用することで、CNCF Project で行われている開発活動を様々な観点で分析できます。

中でも Contribution という指標は、GitHub 上でのレビュー、コメント、コミット、Issue、Pull Request（PR）による貢献を数値化したものです。この指標を活用することで、プロジェクトへの貢献度を定量的に把握できます。また、Contribution は国別や個人別など、さまざまな切り口で集計することも可能です。

Kubernetes の開発状況を眺めてきた趣味の延長として、去年から Kubernetes に本格的にコントリビューションを始めました。メンテナの負荷を下げるためにコードレビューを積極的に行ったり、新しい機能の安定性の向上やバグの修正にも取り組んできました。
今回のブログポストで紹介されるまでは貢献度を意識していなかったのですが、一つの指標として可視化されるとモチベーション維持に繋がります。
今後も自分のペースでコントリビューションを続け、Kubernetes やエコシステムの発展に貢献していきたいと思います。

CNCF DevStats is a tool that collects and quantifies all contributions to CNCF projects from GitHub. By leveraging this data, you can analyze development activities within CNCF projects from various perspectives.

One key metric is Contribution, which quantifies activities such as reviews, comments, commits, issues, and pull requests (PRs) on GitHub. Currently, at 3-shake, I am involved in an internal activity called “technical verification,” where our team works on open-source software (OSS). As an extension of my hobby of following Kubernetes development, I began contributing to Kubernetes seriously last year. I have actively participated in code reviews to reduce the burden on maintainers and have worked on improving the stability of new features and fixing bugs. Before being featured in this blog post, I hadn’t been particularly aware of my contribution level, but now that it has been visualized as a metric, it helps maintain my motivation. I will continue contributing at my own pace and hope to further the development of Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
